Sunshine and Santa

sunny 30 °C

So, weird stuff...I've been spending the last few days lounging on a sunny hot beach on the South China Sea....listening to Christmas songs all day!!! How strange is that? They have it piped out in speakers all throughout the beach. I started actually laughing out loud when the sound "White Christmas" came on!

The really strange thing is that Christmas is such a huge deal in a communist country where religion is frowned upon. Yet, everything is decorated to the hilt here and there are tons of Christmas sales everywhere. I guess capitalism trumps communism in this case....

No matter where you are, it's all about the dead presidents, no matter what they say! Glad you're getting some good chillin' time. The market testing didn't go well for "I'm dreaming of a 90 degree tropical Christmas," except for in Nome.

I intended to have everyone write something on GameDay, but only new people showed up! Well, Chris and, eventually, the Altarribas popped in, too. We probably could have had you play with us online... -Russell
